Over the years, I have acquired many different labels: teacher, wife, mom, mentor, advocate, writer.
It is through my writing that I hope to inspire others and create a sense of connectedness to the world around us. I choose to capture this connection through the written word.
I enjoy all types of writing, but poetry is a first love. Poems to me are like photographs and capture the essence of a time and a place. Much of my work is inspired by memories of people and places that have been meaningful to me. I hope my writing creates inspiration and reflection in your own life.
I also write about food allergies since my son has a life-threatening allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. Raising a child is always a labor of love, and navigating the day-to-day activities when raising a child with severe food allergies has amplified my duty as a mom. I hope my work is food for thought!
Pennsylvania is my near-and-dear, but I've lived in several states. I currently reside in South Carolina with my family.
You will find links to published pieces and works-in-progress in my blog. Enjoy!
